Kim Warne, U.S. Talent Recruitment Leader for GE, shares some tips on how you can prepare for a behavioral-based interview: “All too often I hear candidates struggle in a behavioral-based interviewing situation. Today I’m going to give you a few tips to make sure this won’t happen to you. You need to shine in your interview, and I don’t want you to stumble, when a little preparation can give you the necessary information to respond to the interviewer’s questions.”

Employers may think they don’t need to focus on attracting recent or soon-to-be college graduates because it’s an employer’s job market, but thinking that way will put them at their own peril, say career experts. “Companies no matter how big or small need to do workforce planning and development to match anticipated growth with talent,” says Steven Canale, manager, global recruiting and staffing services at General Electric, which goes to great lengths to recruit at the college level. “We are trying to build a deep bench of future talent and thought leaders.”

Chris Thomas, Global Recruiting Director for GE, is looking for MBAs to join the company’s incredible two-year Experienced Commercial Leadership Programme. The ECLP is a two-year rotational program with three eight-month assignments in the marketing and sales functions of GE’s different businesses. It runs in ten territories around the world, reflecting GE’s incredible global reach.
