What Top Internship Programs Look Like

J-Intersect Intern Results

A new study examines what some of the best internships have in common. A company called J-InterSect looked particularly at General Electric, Goldman Sachs, KPMG (builder of a new mobile app for career advice), Boston Consulting Group, and JP Morgan, honing in on what these firms do that others don’t, or what they do better than others.

How I landed in the Summer Associate program (when ECLP didn’t come to my campus)

It all started with the Beatles. Sounds weird, huh? But it really did: from the moment that the twangy guitar fill-ins of I Want to Hold Your Hand hit my ears at 4-years old, to the moment I received the congratulatory phone call from MIT Sloan, and to this moment as an ECLP Summer Associate at GE Capital, I can trace it all back to John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Illiana Christian grad to work for GE as computer engineer

Brad Natelborg

Brad Natelborg, 24, of Highland, received highest honors at Grand Valley State University. Natelborg, son of Dean and Kathy Natelborg, was awarded the engineering departmental award from Grand Valley State University. At the undergraduate level, candidates for departmental honors must have earned at least 85 credits with an average GPA of 3.5 or above. One student per department earns the award. Natelborg graduates Aug. 5 with a bachelor’s in computer engineering. He’s completed three internships in the Holland, Mich., area and recently signed a contract with General Electric, Aviation Division based in Grand Rapids. He starts Aug. 8 and the job includes pursuing a master’s degree.
