Behold today’s overscheduled mom: Along with juggling childcare, housework, marriage and a career, she has now has a new role: chief medical officer of the family, a panel of leading healthcare experts reported at a GE healthymagination-sponsored session in New York City on October 26, held prior to the Annual Working Mother Congress honoring the nation’s 100 top companies for family-friendly benefits.

At the recent TEDMED conference Mike Barber, VP of Healthymagination at GE, talks about a new join venture in the area of pathology with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center called Omnyx. He discusses the validity and future of imaging (including one part of the future he pulls from his pocket), consumer health, and the EMR world.

At the Columbia Business School’s Healthcare Conference, healthymagination VP Mike Barber reiterated GE’s goal to expand healthcare access for millions of people worldwide.
