$50-million aircraft engine research centre to be built in Winnipeg

Multi-Million Dollar Investment for GE Aviation Bromont

GE Canada announced that its GE Aviation business is planning to invest $63.5 million dollars over the next six years to diversify its product line at the GE Aviation manufacturing plant in Bromont, Quebec. The investment of $63.5 million dollars will strengthen Bromont’s position as a global centre of excellence and will also create 80 jobs and maintain the current 545 jobs at the GE Aviation manufacturing facility.

GE Canada will create 80 jobs and preserve 545 existing positions by investing $63.5 million over six years to diversify its aircraft parts business in Bromont, Que., with the help of the provincial government. Quebec Premier Jean Charest announced the province will provide a grant for up to $13.3 million.
