RSS
Newsfeeds are an easy, automated way to receive up-to-date information without sharing your email address or increasing your volume of email. It also reduces the number of times you have to visit a site, just to check for updates.
The service is also known as RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication. It uses underlying technology on Web sites to publish information in a format known as XML. To understand information in the XML, subscribers need to use a news reader. Examples of news readers include Bloglines, Google Reader and My Yahoo.
