Does GE rehire people who have left as least effective performers? I left over 5 years ago and am seriously wanting to go back. I was not discharged however I was in the process of what was called a “performance improvement program”. I won’t go into all the details. However my manager did try to persuade me to stay, explaining that I was really doing fine, and HR told me that I was eligible for rehire. However I have been told that if a person leaves as a “least effective performer” they will not be rehired. Can you please comment?
Hi Belvedere,
We can’t give out specific advice about individuals. That’s up to the hiring manager team for each individual job — you can certainly assume that your profile will be reviewed if you worked for the company previously.
Good luck!
