A visit by Rep. Mike McIntyre to Wilmington’s GE Aviation plant Thursday was an opportunity for area media outlets to tour the facility and see how it’s handling an accelerated flow of orders. “Our employees are well trained experts in the field who employ the latest technologies to develop the most complex aircraft engine parts in the world,” plant manager Kevin Prindable said. He explained that the plant employees were currently working on parts for engines ordered several years ago. The new orders are expected to keep the plant humming for years to come.
