GE Supports Martin Luther King Day of Service
Are you looking for a way to serve those who have served our country? Can you spare one hour to volunteer on January 21? You pick the hour, any hour to set aside to help veterans with their career. It’s that simple.
You can help by joining a new peer-to-peer, online community called ACP AdvisorNet. Dedicate one hour of your time on Martin Luther King Day, answering veterans’ career-related questions. Share your personal experiences and career tips.
ACP AdvisorNet (www.acp-advisornet.org) is an online “Quick Question Community” where service members can receive advice from business professionals nationwide through an easy-to-use question and answer platform. GE employees will also serve as Advisors on the site, who will answer career-related questions asked by veterans or their family members
Here’s how to become involved:
- Sign Up: Sign up and create an account by visiting www.acp-advisornet.org/signup. Creating an account takes just a few minutes.
- Follow Topics: Advisors can follow topics directly related to their areas of expertise to create a personalized and relevant experience on the site. Click on “See all topics” to view and follow topics you’re interested in.
- Offer Personal Advice: Start answering questions! You can also indicate that you are willing to be contacted by veterans on the site for more personal, in-depth conversations.
