GE Offers #Training for #Jobs at its Fort Worth Factory
General Electric has put out the ‘help wanted’ sign looking to hire hundreds in North Fort Worth, and the company is now turning to colleges to find enough skilled workers for its manufacturing plant near Texas Motor Speedway. GE is looking for machinists and welders as its workforce ages. It’s a difficult task, since these are highly-skilled jobs. So the company is giving a $780,000 grant to Tarrant County College to train students in just a matter of weeks.
