I applied to 1392147 in June of 2011. I had a phone interview at the end of july, In-Plant interview in August and a phone interview with HR in Sept. The job was re-posted with the same number. The job status remains open, my status pending on site interview. Calls are not returned. Should I just assume that I have not been selected?

If you applied via referral you do not need to apply online, but you will lose the ability to track your status (you will need to ask the employee who referred you).

I was referred for a position by a current GE employee and recieved the mandatory online questionaire to complete the referral process. 1.Should I also apply for the position online? 2 Is there a way to follow up on the status of this application. Thanks

Dear,
I have recently applied for an entry level commercial leadership program in sales ge energy doha, but still the status is showing “resume received but not yet reviewed” although i have received a mail from geautomationmanager saying”your submission is in process” and also the job ad says that the candidate must be available for employmemt in september 2011 itself, I am very anxious and extremely hopeful about this opportuntiy, have always longed to work and learn from a company like ge, but cant understand how long this would take and when exactly i would be able to get a clear picture about my cv being processed , accepted ??please advice, thanks a lot…

Hi Raj,

“Software” varies, but it’s usually a spreadsheet format. Recruiters can do a search and then remove applications that do not fit the requirements.

The cover letter process varies by recruiter, but usually only finalists’ cover letters are reviewed.
