I am very happy to see your company views about veterans and their potential. You are the only company who gave such respect and importance.
Its Great.
Now we can say ‘GE’ is for us.
Yes I have a comment…stop lying to people to make your company look good. I’m a verteran of over 27 yrs service, both active duty and reserves plus four years with the DOD in both Iraq and Afgh. Ive applied many times with your company. I have massive manufacturing experience, I started the hard tooling department at Square D in Seneca S.C. Believe me because of my service to this country (along with so many others) all we ask for is an opportunity, one that GE isn’t willing to give. Maybe you have to be someones releative, maybe its still the “Good ole Boy policy” whatever it is all we’re asking for is the truth!
Regards,
Mr. Ellison
Hi Mr. Ellison,
Sorry to hear you’re having difficulty getting hired. A transition into GE can be challenging from military service, which is why we strongly encourage you to visit http://www.ge.com/veterans for a list of career fairs. An experienced GE vet will sit with you for 20 minutes to review your resume and even conduct mock interviews. That said, GE has a proud history of hiring veterans. For evidence, see the profiles of our veterans ate http://www.ge-works.com/#veterans
